To provide a recommendation to Council regarding an annual indemnity for Council members while carrying out their duties of office and representing the City of Vernon.
Board Information
Meetings will be scheduled upon confirmation of members availability and as required.
The Citizen Remuneration Review Committee shall be comprised of three (3) members of the public, at least one of whom should have had previous elected municipal government experience.
The Committee shall examine the collected data from benchmark communities, UBCM data base information and any other relevant information in order to present a recommendation to Council in regards to remuneration. The report to Council must be presented by the end of September 2026.
The term length will be approximately 6 months.
